(ⲁ̅) ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲟⲩϫⲫⲟ ⲛ̀ϣϫⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲫⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ϣⲱⲣⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲃⲣⲟⲩⲭⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲅⲱⲣ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ	(1) Thus has the Lord God shewed me; and, behold, a swarm of locusts coming from the east; and, behold, one caterpillar, king Gog.	(1) Οὕτως ἔδειξέν µοι κύριος καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐπιγονὴ ἀκρίδων ἐρχοµένη ἑωθινή, καὶ ἰδοὺ βροῦχος εἷς Γωγ ὁ βασιλεύς.
(ⲃ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛϫⲱⲕ ⲉ̀ⲡϫⲓⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥⲓⲙ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲭⲱ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲡⲉ	(2) And it came to pass when he had finished devouring the grass of the land, that I said, Lord God, be merciful; who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small in number.	(2) καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν συντελέσῃ τοῦ καταφαγεῖν τὸν χόρτον τῆς γῆς, καὶ εἶπα Κύριε κύριε, ἵλεως γενοῦ· τίς ἀναστήσει τὸν Ιακωβ; ὅτι ὀλιγοστός ἐστιν·
(ⲅ̅) ⲟⲩⲉⲙϩⲑⲏⲕ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅	(3) Repent, O Lord, for this. And this shall not be, saith the Lord.	(3) µετανόησον, κύριε, ἐπὶ τούτῳ. Καὶ τοῦτο οὐκ ἔσται, λέγει κύριος.
(ⲇ̅) ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲟⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ̀ⲡϩⲁⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲣⲱⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲙ̀ⲫⲛⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲟϣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲛ̀ϯⲧⲟⲓ	(4) Thus has the Lord shewed me; and, behold, the Lord called for judgment by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and devoured the Lord’s portion.	(4) Οὕτως ἔδειξέν µοι κύριος καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐκάλεσεν τὴν δίκην ἐν πυρὶ κύριος, καὶ κατέφαγε τὴν ἄβυσσον τὴν πολλὴν καὶ κατέφαγεν τὴν µερίδα.
(ⲉ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ϩⲉⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲕ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥ ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲡⲉ	(5) Then I said, O Lord, cease, I pray thee: who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small in number. Repent, O Lord, for this.	(5) καὶ εἶπα Κύριε κύριε, κόπασον δή· τίς ἀναστήσει τὸν Ιακωβ; ὅτι ὀλιγοστός ἐστιν·
(ⲋ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲉⲙϩⲑⲏⲕ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅	(6) This also shall not be, saith the Lord.	(6) µετανόησον, κύριε, ἐπὶ τούτῳ. Καὶ τοῦτο οὐ µὴ γένηται, λέγει κύριος.
(ⲍ̅) ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲟϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲃⲧ ⲛ̀ⲁⲇⲁⲙⲁⲛⲧⲓⲛⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥϫⲓϫ	(7) Thus the Lord shewed me; and behold, he stood upon a wall of adamant, and in his hand was an adamant.	(7) Οὕτως ἔδειξέν µοι κύριος καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ἑστηκὼς ἐπὶ τείχους ἀδαµαντίνου, καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ ἀδάµας.
(ⲏ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲙⲱⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲛⲁϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲇⲁⲙⲁⲥ ⲉ̀ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲟⲩⲁϩⲧⲟⲧ ϫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲓⲥⲉⲛϥ	(8) And the Lord said to me, What seest thou, Amos? And I said, An adamant. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I appoint an adamant in the midst of my people Israel: I will not pass by them any more.	(8) καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός µε Τί σὺ ὁρᾷς, Αµως; καὶ εἶπα Ἀδάµαντα. καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός µε Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐντάσσω ἀδάµαντα ἐν µέσῳ λαοῦ µου Ισραηλ, οὐκέτι µὴ προσθῶ τοῦ παρελθεῖν αὐτόν·
(ⲑ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲓϣⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲥⲱⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϣⲱϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲱⲛⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲉⲣⲟⲃⲟⲁⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲥⲏϥⲓ	(9) And the joyful altars shall be abolished, and the sacrifices of Israel shall be set aside; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.	(9) καὶ ἀφανισθήσονται βωµοὶ τοῦ γέλωτος, καὶ αἱ τελεταὶ τοῦ Ισραηλ ἐξερηµωθήσονται, καὶ ἀναστήσοµαι ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ιεροβοαµ ἐν ῥοµφαίᾳ.
(ⲓ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲁⲥⲓⲁⲥ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲏⲃ ϩⲁ ⲓⲉⲣⲟⲃⲟⲁⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲁⲙⲱⲥ ⲉϥⲓⲣⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩⲧⲥ ϧⲁⲣⲟⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲉⲛϥⲛⲁϣ̀ϫⲉⲙϫⲟⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉ̀ϥⲁⲓ ϧⲁ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ	(10) Then Amasias the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos is forming conspiracies against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land will be utterly unable to bear all his words.	(10) Καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν Αµασιας ὁ ἱερεὺς Βαιθηλ πρὸς Ιεροβοαµ βασιλέα Ισραηλ λέγων Συστροφὰς ποιεῖται κατὰ σοῦ Αµως ἐν µέσῳ οἴκου Ισραηλ· οὐ µὴ δύνηται ἡ γῆ ὑπενεγκεῖν ἅπαντας τοὺς λόγους αὐτοῦ·
(ⲓ̅ⲁ̅) ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲱⲥ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲓⲉⲣⲟⲃⲟⲁⲙ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲟⲗϥ ⲛ̀ⲉⲭⲙⲁⲗⲱⲧⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲕⲁϩⲓ	(11) For thus says Amos, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall be led away captive from his land.	(11) διότι τάδε λέγει Αµως Ἐν ῥοµφαίᾳ τελευτήσει Ιεροβοαµ, ὁ δὲ Ισραηλ αἰχµάλωτος ἀχθήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ.
(ⲓ̅ⲃ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲁⲥⲓⲁⲥ ⲛ̀ⲁⲙⲱⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲁⲣⲓⲁⲛⲁⲭⲱⲣⲓⲛ ⲉ̀ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲕⲉ̀ⲉⲣⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲉⲩⲓⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ	(12) And Amasias said to Amos, Go, seer, remove thou into the land of Juda, and live there, and thou shalt prophesy there:	(12) καὶ εἶπεν Αµασιας πρὸς Αµως Ὁ ὁρῶν, βάδιζε ἐκχώρησον εἰς γῆν Ιουδα καὶ ἐκεῖ καταβίου καὶ ἐκεῖ προφητεύσεις·
(ⲓ̅ⲅ̅) ⲃⲉⲑⲏⲗ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲟⲩⲁϩⲧⲟⲧⲕ ⲉ̀ⲉⲣⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲉⲩⲓⲛ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲡⲉ	(13) but thou shalt no longer prophesy at Bethel: for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is the royal house.	(13) εἰς δὲ Βαιθηλ οὐκέτι µὴ προσθῇς τοῦ προφητεῦσαι, ὅτι ἁγίασµα βασιλέως ἐστὶν καὶ οἶκος βασιλείας ἐστίν.
(ⲓ̅ⲇ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲁⲙⲱⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛ̀ⲁⲙⲁⲥⲓⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲃⲁⲉⲙⲡⲓ ⲉⲓⲛⲟⲩⲕⲉⲣ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲉⲗⲕⲱ	(14) And Amos answered, and said to Amasias, I was not a prophet, nor the son of a prophet; but I was a herdman, and a gatherer of sycamore fruits.	(14) καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αµως καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς Αµασιαν Οὐκ ἤµην προφήτης ἐγὼ οὐδὲ υἱὸς προφήτου, ἀλλ’ ἢ αἰπόλος ἤµην καὶ κνίζων συκάµινα·
(ⲓ̅ⲉ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲟⲗⲧ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲁⲣⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲉⲩⲓⲛ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅	(15) And the Lord took me from the sheep, and the Lord said to me, Go, and prophesy to my people Israel.	(15) καὶ ἀνέλαβέν µε κύριος ἐκ τῶν προβάτων, καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός µε Βάδιζε προφήτευσον ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν µου Ισραηλ.
(ⲓ̅ⲋ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲡⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲕϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲉⲩⲓⲛ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲑⲟⲩⲉⲧ ⲙⲏϣ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲛⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ	(16) And now hear the word of the Lord: Thou sayest, Prophesy not to Israel, and raise not a tumult against the house of Jacob.	(16) καὶ νῦν ἄκουε λόγον κυρίου Σὺ λέγεις Μὴ προφήτευε ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ οὐ µὴ ὀχλαγωγήσῃς ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ιακωβ·
(ⲓ̅ⲍ̅) ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲕⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲛⲁⲉⲣⲡⲟⲣⲛⲉⲩⲓⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉⲕϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲕϣⲉⲣⲓ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϩⲉⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲥⲏϥⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲕⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲣⲁϣϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲛⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲉⲕⲉ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉϥϭⲁϧⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲥ̅ⲗ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲟⲗϥ ⲛ̀ⲉⲭⲙⲁⲗⲱⲧⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲙ̀ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅	(17) Therefore thus saith the Lord; Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be measured with the line; and thou shalt die in an unclean land; and Israel shall be led captive out of his land. Thus has the Lord God shewed me.	(17) διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος Ἡ γυνή σου ἐν τῇ πόλει πορνεύσει, καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου ἐν ῥοµφαίᾳ πεσοῦνται, καὶ ἡ γῆ σου ἐν σχοινίῳ καταµετρηθήσεται, καὶ σὺ ἐν γῇ ἀκαθάρτῳ τελευτήσεις, ὁ δὲ Ισραηλ αἰχµάλωτος ἀχθήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς αὐτοῦ.
