Epistle to the Romans 14

(ⲁ̅) ⲡⲉⲧϣⲱⲛⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲛⲁϩϯ ϣⲟⲡϥ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛϩⲓⲟⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ (ⲁ︦) ⲡⲉⲧϭⲟⲟⲃ ⲇⲉ ϣⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ϩⲛ̅ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲧϩⲧ̅ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ. (1) He who is weak in (the) faith receive not in disputations of reasonings. (1) Τὸν δὲ ἀσθενοῦντα τῇ πίστει προσλαμβάνεσθε, μὴ εἰς διακρίσεις διαλογισμῶν.
(ⲃ̅) ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲉⲛⲭⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁϥⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϯ (ⲃ︦) ⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲛ̅ⲕⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ. ⲡⲉⲧϭⲟⲟⲃ ⲇⲉ ϥⲟⲩⲙ ⲟⲩⲑⲟⲧⲉ. (2) There is he who believeth indeed that he may (lit. to) eat everything; but he who is weak eateth herbs. (2) ὃς μὲν πιστεύει φαγεῖν πάντα, ὁ δὲ ἀσθενῶν λάχανα ἐσθίει.
(ⲅ̅) ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲉϥϣⲉϣϥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛ̀ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛ̀ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲉϥϯϩⲁⲡ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲫϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁϥϣⲟⲡϥ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ (ⲅ︦) ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲥⲉϣϥ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲱⲙ. ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϣⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. (3) Let not him who eateth despise him who eateth not: let not him who eateth not judge him who eateth, for God received him.. (3) ὁ ἐσθίων τὸν μὴ ἐσθίοντα μὴ ἐξουθενείτω, ὁ δὲ μὴ ἐσθίων τὸν ἐσθίοντα μὴ κρινέτω, ὁ θεὸς γὰρ αὐτὸν προσελάβετο.
(ⲇ̅) ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϯϩⲁⲡ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲛ̀ϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⲉϥⲟϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉϥϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲓⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲁϩⲉⲓ ⲉϥⲟϩⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϣ̀ϫⲟⲙ ⲙ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲧⲁϩⲟϥ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ (ⲇ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲕ̅ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲕⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲙⲡⲱⲕ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅ ⲉⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲏ ⲉϥⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅. ⲟⲩⲛ̅ϭⲟⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲁϩⲟϥ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅. (4) Who art thou who judgest another man's (lit, of a stranger) servant? He is standing unto his lord, or is going to fall: but he is standing, for it is possible for the Lord to set him up. (4) σὺ τίς εἶ ὁ κρίνων ἀλλότριον οἰκέτην; τῷ ἰδίῳ κυρίῳ στήκει ἢ πίπτει· σταθήσεται δέ, δυνατεῖ γὰρ ὁ κύριος στῆσαι αὐτόν.
(ⲉ̅) ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϯϩⲁⲡ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ϧⲁⲧϩⲏ ⲛ̀ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧϯϩⲁⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲑⲱⲧ ⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ ⲙ̀ⲙⲓⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ (ⲉ︦) ⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲕ̅ⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲁⲣⲁ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲟⲩ. ⲟⲩⲛ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲕ̅ⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲙ. ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲧ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ. (5) For there is he indeed who judgeth day before day, but there is he who judgeth every day (alike). Let each one be persuaded in his own heart. (5) Ὃς μὲν κρίνει ἡμέραν παρʼ ἡμέραν, ὃς δὲ κρίνει πᾶσαν ἡμέραν· ἕκαστος ἐν τῷ ἰδίῳ νοῒ πληροφορείσθω·
(ⲋ̅) ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲑⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲙ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ϥϣⲉⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛ̀ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥϣⲉⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ (ⲋ︦) ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ. ϥϣⲡ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ϥⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ϥϣⲡ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. (6) He who thought of the day, thought unto the Lord; and he who ate, ate to the Lord; for he giveth thanks to God: and he who eateth not, eateth not to the Lord, and giveth thanks to God. (6) ὁ φρονῶν τὴν ἡμέραν κυρίῳ φρονεῖ. καὶ ὁ ἐσθίων κυρίῳ ἐσθίει, εὐχαριστεῖ γὰρ τῷ θεῷ· καὶ ὁ μὴ ἐσθίων κυρίῳ οὐκ ἐσθίει, καὶ εὐχαριστεῖ τῷ θεῷ.
(ⲍ̅) ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲱⲛϧ ⲛⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ (ⲍ︦) ⲙⲛ̅ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ⲟⲛϩ̅ ⲛⲁϥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ. (7) For there is not any of us (who) will live to himself, and there is not any of us (who) will die to himself. (7) Οὐδεὶς γὰρ ἡμῶν ἑαυτῷ ζῇ, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἑαυτῷ ἀποθνῄσκει·
(ⲏ̅) ⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲱⲛϧ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲱⲛϧ ⲙ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲓⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲱⲛϧ ⲓⲧⲉ ⲉⲛⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲁ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ (ⲏ︦) ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲉⲛⲁⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ. ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲁ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ. (8) For if we shall (lit. will, thus again) live, we shall live to the Lord; but if we shall die, we shall die to the Lord: whether then we shall live or we shall die, we are those of the Lord. (8) ἐάν τε γὰρ ζῶμεν, τῷ κυρίῳ ζῶμεν, ἐάν τε ἀποθνῄσκωμεν, τῷ κυρίῳ ἀποθνῄσκομεν. ἐάν τε οὖν ζῶμεν ἐάν τε ἀποθνῄσκωμεν, τοῦ κυρίου ἐσμέν.
(ⲑ̅) ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲱⲛϧ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲉⲣϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ̀ⲛⲏ ⲉⲑⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ (ⲑ︦) ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲱⲛϩ̅ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲣϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ̅. (9) Therefore Christ died and he lived, that he might be lord of them who are dead and them who live. (9) εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ Χριστὸς ἀπέθανεν καὶ ἔζησεν ἵνα καὶ νεκρῶν καὶ ζώντων κυριεύσῃ.
(ⲓ̅) ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲕϯϩⲁⲡ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲕ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲕϣⲱϣ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣⲉⲛ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲁϩⲟⲛ ⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁϩⲣⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲃⲏⲙⲁ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲫϯ (ⲓ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁϩⲣⲟⲕ ⲕⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲏ ⲁϩⲣⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲱⲕ ⲕⲥⲱϣϥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ. ⲧⲛⲁⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣⲛ̅ ⲉⲡⲃⲏⲙⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. (10) But why judgest thou thy brother? Nay, thou also, why despisest thou thy brother? for we all shall (lit. will) be made to stand before the judgement seat of God. (10) Σὺ δὲ τί κρίνεις τὸν ἀδελφόν σου; ἢ καὶ σὺ τί ἐξουθενεῖς τὸν ἀδελφόν σου; πάντες γὰρ παραστησόμεθα τῷ βήματι τοῦ θεοῦ,
(ⲓ̅ⲁ̅) ⲥⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ϯⲟⲛϧ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲕⲉⲗⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲕⲱⲗϫ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲗⲁⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲫϯ (ⲓ︦ⲁ︦) ϥⲥⲏϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ϯⲟⲛϩ̅ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲧ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲁⲕⲱⲗϫ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲗⲁⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲁⲉⲝⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲉⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. (11) For it is written: I live, [I] saith the Lord, (and I swear) that every knee shall be bent to me, and every tongue confess to God.' (11) γέγραπται γάρ· Ζῶ ἐγώ, λέγει κύριος, ὅτι ἐμοὶ κάμψει πᾶν γόνυ, καὶ πᾶσα γλῶσσα ἐξομολογήσεται τῷ θεῷ.
(ⲓ̅ⲃ̅) ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ϥⲛⲁϯⲗⲟⲅⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ ⲙ̀ⲫϯ (ⲓ︦ⲃ︦) ⲉⲓⲉ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ⲛⲁϯ ⲗⲟⲅⲟⲥ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. (12) So then each one of us will give account for himself to God. (12) ἄρα ἕκαστος ἡμῶν περὶ ἑαυτοῦ λόγον δώσει.
(ⲓ̅ⲅ̅) ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲉⲛϯϩⲁⲡ ⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⲙⲁϩⲁⲡ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲭⲁ ⲟⲩϭⲣⲟⲡ ⲓⲉ ⲟⲩⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲟⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ (ⲓ︦ⲅ︦) ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲛⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ϭⲉ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲕⲁϫⲣⲟⲡ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ. ⲏ ⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲟⲛ. (13) Judge not then any more one another; but judge this rather, not to set a stumbling-block or an offence for thy brother. (13) Μηκέτι οὖν ἀλλήλους κρίνωμεν· ἀλλὰ τοῦτο κρίνατε μᾶλλον, τὸ μὴ τιθέναι πρόσκομμα τῷ ἀδελφῷ ἢ σκάνδαλον.
(ⲓ̅ⲇ̅) ϯⲉⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲑⲏⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲗⲓ ⲉϥϭⲁϧⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲏⲗ ⲉ̀ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲉⲛⲭⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ϥϭⲁϧⲉⲙ ϥϭⲁϧⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲙ̀ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ (ⲓ︦ⲇ︦) ϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲡⲓⲑⲉ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲥⲟⲟϥ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲓⲙⲏⲧⲉⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲥⲟⲟϥ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲟϥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ. (14) I know and I am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean through itself, except to him who thinketh of something that it is unclean, (then) to that one it is unclean. (14) οἶδα καὶ πέπεισμαι ἐν κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ ὅτι οὐδὲν κοινὸν διʼ ἑαυτοῦ· εἰ μὴ τῷ λογιζομένῳ τι κοινὸν εἶναι, ἐκείνῳ κοινόν.
(ⲓ̅ⲉ̅) ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϧⲣⲉ ⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲉⲣⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲓⲍⲉⲥⲑⲉ ⲓⲉ ⲕⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲧⲁⲕⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲕϧⲣⲉ (ⲓ︦ⲉ︦) ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲗⲩⲡⲉⲓ ⲉⲓⲉ ⲁⲕⲗⲟ ⲉⲕⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ. ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲕϩⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲙⲉⲩⲧⲡⲏ ⲉⲛⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ. (15) For if because of [a] food thy brother was to be offended, then thou walkest not any more according to [a] love. Destroy not him for whom Christ died, with thy food. (15) εἰ γὰρ διὰ βρῶμα ὁ ἀδελφός σου λυπεῖται, οὐκέτι κατὰ ἀγάπην περιπατεῖς. μὴ τῷ βρώματί σου ἐκεῖνον ἀπόλλυε ὑπὲρ οὗ Χριστὸς ἀπέθανεν.
(ⲓ̅ⲋ̅) ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲑⲣⲟⲩϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ (ⲓ︦ⲋ︦) ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲣⲉⲩϫⲓⲟⲩⲁ ϭⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲛⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ. (16) Let not then your good be blasphemed: (16) μὴ βλασφημείσθω οὖν ὑμῶν τὸ ἀγαθόν.
(ⲓ̅ⲍ̅) ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲛⲁⲥϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲱ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲥϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ (ⲓ︦ⲍ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ϩⲓⲥⲱ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲉ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲉⲡⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ. (17) for the kingdom of God was not being in [an] eating and [a] drinking; but it was in [a] righteousness, and [a] peace, and [a] joy in the (lit. a) holy spirit. (17) οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ βρῶσις καὶ πόσις, ἀλλὰ δικαιοσύνη καὶ εἰρήνη καὶ χαρὰ ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ·
(ⲓ̅ⲏ̅) ⲫⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⲙⲃⲱⲕ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϥⲣⲁⲛⲁϥ ⲙ̀ⲫϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ (ⲓ︦ⲏ︦) ⲡⲉⲧϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲟ ⲛ̅ϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϥⲣⲁⲛⲁϥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲡ̅ ⲛ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ. (18) For he who serveth Christ in these things pleaseth God, and is upright among [the] men. (18) ὁ γὰρ ἐν τούτῳ δουλεύων τῷ Χριστῷ εὐάρεστος τῷ θεῷ καὶ δόκιμος τοῖς ἀνθρώποις.
(ⲓ̅ⲑ̅) ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛϭⲟϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁ ⲛⲁ ϯϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲁ ⲡⲓⲕⲱⲧ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ (ⲓ︦ⲑ︦) ⲁⲣⲁ ϭⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲛ̅ⲡⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁ ⲛⲁ ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁ ⲡⲕⲱⲧ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲛⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ. (19) So then let us pursue the things of [the] peace, and the things of [the] edifying one another. (19) ἄρα οὖν τὰ τῆς εἰρήνης διώκωμεν καὶ τὰ τῆς οἰκοδομῆς τῆς εἰς ἀλλήλους.
(ⲕ̅) ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲃⲉⲗ ⲡⲓϩⲱⲃ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϧⲣⲉ ⲥⲉⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲣⲟⲡ (ⲕ︦) ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲗⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡϩⲱⲃ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ⲥⲉⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϥϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲙ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϫⲣⲟⲡ. (20) Pull not down the work of God because of [a] food. All things indeed are clean; but it is [an] evil to the man who will eat with offence. (20) μὴ ἕνεκεν βρώματος κατάλυε τὸ ἔργον τοῦ θεοῦ. πάντα μὲν καθαρά, ἀλλὰ κακὸν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τῷ διὰ προσκόμματος ἐσθίοντι.
(ⲕ̅ⲁ̅) ⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲁϭⲓϭⲣⲟⲡ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ (ⲕ︦ⲁ︦) ⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⲁϥ. ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲥⲉ ⲏⲣⲡ. ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲥⲟⲛ ⲛⲁϫⲓϫⲣⲟⲡ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ̅. ⲏ ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲓⲍⲉ. ⲏ ⲛϥ̅ϭⲃ̅ⲃⲉ. (21) It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, and that in which thy brother will stumble. (21) καλὸν τὸ μὴ φαγεῖν κρέα μηδὲ πιεῖν οἶνον μηδὲ ἐν ᾧ ὁ ἀδελφός σου προσκόπτει ἢ σκανδαλίζεται ἢ ἀσθενεῖ·
(ⲕ̅ⲃ̅) ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲟⲛⲧⲁⲕ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲭⲁϥ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲕ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙ̀ⲑⲟ ⲙ̀ⲫϯ ⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓⲁⲧϥ ⲙ̀ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲛ̀ϥⲛⲁϯϩⲁⲡ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲛⲁⲉⲣⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ (ⲕ︦ⲃ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲕ̅ ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲕⲁⲁⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲙ̅ⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ. ⲛⲁⲓⲁⲧϥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛ̅ϥⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲉⲧϥ̅ⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲁⲍⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ. (22) Thou (pronoun) hast [a] faith: let it (be) in thyself before God. Blessed is he who will not judge himself in that which he will approve. (22) σὺ πίστιν ἣν ἔχεις κατὰ σεαυτὸν ἔχε ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ. μακάριος ὁ μὴ κρίνων ἑαυτὸν ἐν ᾧ δοκιμάζει·
(ⲕ̅ⲅ̅) ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ ⲃ̅ ⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡ ⲁϥϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲁϥϩⲓⲧϥ ⲉ̀ⲡϩⲁⲡ ϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϩⲱⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲡⲉ (ⲕ︦ⲅ︦) ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲣ̅ϩⲏⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ϥⲧϭⲁⲉⲓⲏⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲁⲁⲥ ⲁⲛ ϩⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ. ϩⲱⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉ ϩⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϩⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲛⲉ. (23) But he who doubteth, if he should eat, he condemned himself, because it is not an (action) from [a] faith. But everything which is not an (action) from [a] faith is [a] sin. (23) ὁ δὲ διακρινόμενος ἐὰν φάγῃ κατακέκριται, ὅτι οὐκ ἐκ πίστεως· πᾶν δὲ ὃ οὐκ ἐκ πίστεως ἁμαρτία ἐστίν.
