Genesis 2

(ⲁ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϫⲱⲕ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲧⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲟⲗⲥⲉⲗ ⲧⲏⲣϥ (1) And the heavens and the earth were finished, and the whole world of them. (1) Καὶ συνετελέσθησαν ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ἡ γῆ καὶ πᾶς ὁ κόσμος αὐτῶν.
(ⲃ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲫϯ ϫⲱⲕ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩⲋ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩⲍ̅ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲛⲉϥϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲱⲟⲩ (2) And God finished on the sixth day his works which he made, and he ceased on the seventh day from all his works which he made. (2) καὶ συνετέλεσεν ὁ θεὸς ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἕκτῃ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ, ἃ ἐποίησεν, καὶ κατέπαυσεν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ, ὧν ἐποίησεν.
(ⲅ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲫϯ ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩⲍ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ ⲁϥⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁ ⲛⲉϥϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲛ̀ⲑⲁⲙⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫϯ (3) And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it he ceased from all his works which God began to do. (3) καὶ ηὐλόγησεν ὁ θεὸς τὴν ἡμέραν τὴν ἑβδόμην καὶ ἡγίασεν αὐτήν, ὅτι ἐν αὐτῇ κατέπαυσεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ, ὧν ἤρξατο ὁ θεὸς ποιῆσαι.
(ⲇ̅) ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡϫⲱⲙ ⲛ̀ⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛ̀ⲧⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲫϯ ⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛ̀ⲧⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ (4) This is the book of the generation of heaven and earth, when they were made, in the day in which the Lord God made the heaven and the earth, (4) Αὕτη ἡ βίβλος γενέσεως οὐρανοῦ καὶ γῆς, ὅτε ἐγένετο, ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν
(ⲉ̅) ⲛⲉⲙ ⲥⲓⲙ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲉⲧⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓ ⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧⲟⲩⲣⲱⲧ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉ̀ⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ (5) and every herb of the field before it was on the earth, and all the grass of the field before it sprang up, for God had not rained on the earth, and there was not a man to cultivate it. (5) καὶ πᾶν χλωρὸν ἀγροῦ πρὸ τοῦ γενέσθαι ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ πάντα χόρτον ἀγροῦ πρὸ τοῦ ἀνατεῖλαι· οὐ γὰρ ἔβρεξεν ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν, καὶ ἄνθρωπος οὐκ ἦν ἐργάζεσθαι τὴν γῆν,
(ⲋ̅) ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲙⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ϣⲁⲥⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϣⲁⲥⲧⲥⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡϩⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ (6) But there rose a fountain out of the earth, and watered the whole face of the earth. (6) πηγὴ δὲ ἀνέβαινεν ἐκ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπότιζεν πᾶν τὸ πρόσωπον τῆς γῆς.
(ⲍ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲫϯ ⲙⲟⲩⲛⲕ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲛⲓϥⲓ ⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲟⲏ ⲛ̀ⲱⲛϧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲩⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲉⲥⲟⲛϧ (7) And God formed the man of dust of the earth, and breathed upon his face the breath of life, and the man became a living soul. (7) καὶ ἔπλασεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον χοῦν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐνεφύσησεν εἰς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ πνοὴν ζωῆς, καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἄνθρωπος εἰς ψυχὴν ζῶσαν.
(ⲏ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫϯ ϭⲟ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲉⲇⲉⲙ ⲥⲁ ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲛ̀ϣⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲭⲱ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟϥ (8) And God planted a garden eastward in Edem, and placed there the man whom he had formed. (8) Καὶ ἐφύτευσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς παράδεισον ἐν Εδεμ κατὰ ἀνατολὰς καὶ ἔθετο ἐκεῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον, ὃν ἔπλασεν.
(ⲑ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲫϯ ⲉⲣⲉ ϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲓ̀ ⲉⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲕⲉⲥⲟⲡ ⲉⲑⲛⲉⲥⲱϥ ⲉ̀ⲟⲩϩⲟⲣⲁⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲉⲩϧⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲱⲛϧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲙⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡϣⲓⲃϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ (9) And God made to spring up also out of the earth every tree beautiful to the eye and good for food, and the tree of life in the midst of the garden, and the tree of learning the knowledge of good and evil. (9) καὶ ἐξανέτειλεν ὁ θεὸς ἔτι ἐκ τῆς γῆς πᾶν ξύλον ὡραῖον εἰς ὅρασιν καὶ καλὸν εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ τὸ ξύλον τῆς ζωῆς ἐν μέσῳ τῷ παραδείσῳ καὶ τὸ ξύλον τοῦ εἰδέναι γνωστὸν καλοῦ καὶ πονηροῦ.
(ⲓ̅) ⲟⲩⲓⲁⲣⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲉ̀ϣⲁϥⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲉⲇⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲧⲥⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ϣⲁϥⲫⲱⲣϫ ⲉ̀ⲇ̅ ⲛ̀ⲁⲣⲭⲏ (10) And a river proceeds out of Edem to water the garden, thence it divides itself into four heads. (10) ποταμὸς δὲ ἐκπορεύεται ἐξ Εδεμ ποτίζειν τὸν παράδεισον· ἐκεῖθεν ἀφορίζεται εἰς τέσσαρας ἀρχάς.
(ⲓ̅ⲁ̅) ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲫⲓⲥⲱⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲕⲱϯ ⲉ̀ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲉⲩⲓⲗⲁⲧ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ (11) The name of the one, Phisom, this it is which encircles the whole land of Evilat, where there is gold. (11) ὄνομα τῷ ἑνὶ Φισων· οὗτος ὁ κυκλῶν πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Ευιλατ, ἐκεῖ οὗ ἐστιν τὸ χρυσίον·
(ⲓ̅ⲃ̅) ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲩⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁⲟⲩⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉⲃⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲱⲛⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁⲟⲩⲁⲛ ⲛⲏϫⲓ (12) And the gold of that land is good, there also is carbuncle and emerald. (12) τὸ δὲ χρυσίον τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης καλόν· καὶ ἐκεῖ ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθραξ καὶ ὁ λίθος ὁ πράσινος.
(ⲓ̅ⲅ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲓⲁⲣⲟ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩⲃ̅ ⲡⲉ ⲅⲉⲱⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲕⲱϯ ⲉ̀ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲁⲩϣ (13) And the name of the second river is Geon, this it is which encircles the whole land of Ethiopia. (13) καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ποταμῷ τῷ δευτέρῳ Γηων· οὗτος ὁ κυκλῶν πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Αἰθιοπίας.
(ⲓ̅ⲇ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲓⲁⲣⲟ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩⲅ̅ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲧⲓⲅⲣⲏⲥ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲙⲑⲟ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲁⲥⲥⲩⲣⲓⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲓⲁⲣⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁϩⲇ̅ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲩⲫⲣⲁⲧⲏⲥ (14) And the third river is Tigris, this is that which flows forth over against the Assyrians. And the fourth river is Euphrates. (14) καὶ ὁ ποταμὸς ὁ τρίτος Τίγρις· οὗτος ὁ πορευόμενος κατέναντι ᾿Ασσυρίων. ὁ δὲ ποταμὸς ὁ τέταρτος, οὗτος Εὐφράτης.
(ⲓ̅ⲉ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫϯ ϭⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲭⲁϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲉⲑⲣⲉϥⲉⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲁⲣⲉϩ (15) And the Lord God took the man whom he had formed, and placed him in the garden of Delight, to cultivate and keep it. (15) Καὶ ἔλαβεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὸν ἄνθρωπον, ὃν ἔπλασεν, καὶ ἔθετο αὐτὸν ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ ἐργάζεσθαι αὐτὸν καὶ φυλάσσειν.
(ⲓ̅ⲋ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫϯ ⲉ̀ⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲛ̀ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲉⲕⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϧⲣⲉ (16) And the Lord God gave a charge to Adam, saying, Of every tree which is in the garden thou mayest freely eat, (16) καὶ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῷ Αδαμ λέγων ᾿Απὸ παντὸς ξύλου τοῦ ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ βρώσει φάγῃ,
(ⲓ̅ⲍ̅) ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲙⲓ ⲉ̀ⲡϣⲓⲃϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩ (17) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—of it ye shall not eat, but in whatsoever day ye eat of it, ye shall surely die. (17) ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ ξύλου τοῦ γινώσκειν καλὸν καὶ πονηρόν, οὐ φάγεσθε ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ· ᾗ δ᾽ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ φάγητε ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ, θανάτῳ ἀποθανεῖσθε.
(ⲓ̅ⲏ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫϯ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲑⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲃⲟⲏⲑⲟⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲣⲟϥ (18) And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, let us make for him a help suitable to him. (18) Καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεός Οὐ καλὸν εἶναι τὸν ἄνθρωπον μόνον· ποιήσωμεν αὐτῷ βοηθὸν κατ᾽ αὐτόν.
(ⲓ̅ⲑ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲁ ⲫϯ ⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϩⲁⲗⲁϯ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϩⲁ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲁ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲩⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲉⲥⲟⲛϧ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲁⲛ (19) And God formed yet farther out of the earth all the wild beasts of the field, and all the birds of the sky, and he brought them to Adam, to see what he would call them, and whatever Adam called any living creature, that was the name of it. (19) καὶ ἔπλασεν ὁ θεὸς ἔτι ἐκ τῆς γῆς πάντα τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ καὶ πάντα τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτὰ πρὸς τὸν Αδαμ ἰδεῖν, τί καλέσει αὐτά, καὶ πᾶν, ὃ ἐὰν ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὸ Αδαμ ψυχὴν ζῶσαν, τοῦτο ὄνομα αὐτοῦ.
(ⲕ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ϯⲣⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓⲧⲉⲃⲛⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϩⲁⲗⲁϯ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩϫⲉⲙ ⲃⲟⲏⲑⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲟⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ (20) And Adam gave names to all the cattle and to all the birds of the sky, and to all the wild beasts of the field, but for Adam there was not found a help like to himself. (20) Καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Αδαμ ὀνόματα πᾶσιν τοῖς κτήνεσιν καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς πετεινοῖς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς θηρίοις τοῦ ἀγροῦ, τῷ δὲ Αδαμ οὐχ εὑρέθη βοηθὸς ὅμοιος αὐτῷ.—
(ⲕ̅ⲁ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲫϯ ϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲥⲣⲟⲙ ⲛ̀ϩⲓⲛⲓⲙ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϭⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲫⲓⲣⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲙⲁϩ ⲡⲉⲥⲙⲁ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲥϣⲉⲃⲓⲱ (21) And God brought a trance upon Adam, and he slept, and he took one of his ribs, and filled up the flesh instead thereof. (21) καὶ ἐπέβαλεν ὁ θεὸς ἔκστασιν ἐπὶ τὸν Αδαμ, καὶ ὕπνωσεν· καὶ ἔλαβεν μίαν τῶν πλευρῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνεπλήρωσεν σάρκα ἀντ᾽ αὐτῆς.
(ⲕ̅ⲃ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲡϭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲕⲱⲧ ⲛ̀ϯⲃⲏⲧ ⲉⲧⲁϥϭⲓⲧⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲉⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲛⲥ ϩⲁ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ (22) And God formed the rib which he took from Adam into a woman, and brought her to Adam. (22) καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τὴν πλευράν, ἣν ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ τοῦ Αδαμ, εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς τὸν Αδαμ.
(ⲕ̅ⲅ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ϫⲉ ⲑⲁⲓ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲕⲁⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲕⲁⲥ ⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϭⲓ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲓ (23) And Adam said, This now is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of her husband. (23) καὶ εἶπεν Αδαμ Τοῦτο νῦν ὀστοῦν ἐκ τῶν ὀστέων μου καὶ σὰρξ ἐκ τῆς σαρκός μου· αὕτη κληθήσεται γυνή, ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς ἐλήμφθη αὕτη.
(ⲕ̅ⲇ̅) ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲭⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲩ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲧⲟⲙϥ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲃ̅ ⲉⲩⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲧ (24) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. (24) ἕνεκεν τούτου καταλείψει ἄνθρωπος τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ προσκολληθήσεται πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔσονται οἱ δύο εἰς σάρκα μίαν.
(ⲕ̅ⲉ̅) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲃⲏϣ ⲙ̀ⲡⲃ̅ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϣⲓⲡⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ (3:1) And the two were naked, both Adam and his wife, and were not ashamed. (25) καὶ ἦσαν οἱ δύο γυμνοί, ὅ τε Αδαμ καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ᾐσχύνοντο.
