(ⲁ̅) ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧϭⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲗⲁⲙϫⲁⲡⲧ ϥⲛⲁⲑⲱⲗⲉⲃ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϭⲁⲥⲓϩⲏⲧ ϥⲛⲁⲟⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ	(ⲁ︦) ⲡⲉⲧϫⲱϩ ⲉⲩⲗⲁⲙϫⲁⲧⲡ̅ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲱⲗⲙ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϫⲁⲥⲓϩⲏⲧ ϥⲛⲁⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ.	(1) He that toucheth pitch shall be defiled therewith; and he that hath fellowship with a proud man shall be like unto him.	(1) Ὁ ἁπτόµενος πίσσης µολυνθήσεται, καὶ ὁ κοινωνῶν ὑπερηφάνῳ ὁµοιωθήσεται αὐτῷ.
(ⲃ̅)	(ⲃ︦) ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ϥⲓ ϩⲣⲏϣⲓ ⲡⲁⲣⲁ ⲧⲉⲕϭⲟⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϫⲱⲱⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ.	(2) Burden not thyself above thy power while thou livest; and have no fellowship with one that is mightier and richer than thyself:	(2) βάρος ὑπὲρ σὲ µὴ ἄρῃς καὶ ἰσχυροτέρῳ σου καὶ πλουσιωτέρῳ µὴ κοινώνει.
(ⲅ̅)	(ⲅ︦) ⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϭⲁⲗⲁϩⲧ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲭⲁⲗⲕⲓⲟⲛ; ⲉϥϣⲁⲛϫⲱⲣⲡ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲥⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱϭⲡ̅.	for how agree the kettle and the earthen pot together? for if the one be smitten against the other, it shall be broken.	τί κοινωνήσει χύτρα πρὸς λέβητα; αὕτη προσκρούσει, καὶ αὕτη συντριβήσεται.
(ⲇ̅)	(ⲇ︦) ⲡⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲉϥϫⲓ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲛⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϣⲁϥⲣ̅ ⲡⲕⲉⲛⲟⲩϭⲥ̅: ⲫⲏⲕⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲧϥ̅ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲛⲥ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲡⲉϣⲁϥⲣ̅ ⲡⲕⲉⲥⲟⲡⲥ̅.	(3) The rich man hath done wrong, and yet he threateneth withal: the poor is wronged, and he must intreat also.	(3) πλούσιος ἠδίκησεν, καὶ αὐτὸς προσενεβριµήσατο· πτωχὸς ἠδίκηται, καὶ αὐτὸς προσδεηθήσεται.
(ⲉ̅)	(ⲉ︦) ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲕⲣ̅ϣⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϣⲁϥⲣ̅ϩⲱⲃ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲕ̅: ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲣ̅ϭⲣⲱϩ ϥⲛⲁⲕⲁⲁⲕ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱϥ.	(4) If thou be for his profit, he will use thee: but if thou have nothing, he will forsake thee.	(4) ἐὰν χρησιµεύσῃς, ἐργᾶται ἐν σοί· καὶ ἐὰν ὑστερήσῃς, καταλείψει σε.
(ⲋ̅)	(ⲋ︦) ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲕ ϥⲛⲁⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲛⲁⲡⲁϩⲧⲕ̅ ⲛϥ̅ⲧⲙ̅ⲙ̅ⲕⲁϩ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ.	(5) If thou have any thing, he will live with thee: yea, he will make thee bare, and will not be sorry for it.	(5) ἐὰν ἔχῃς, συµβιώσεταί σοι καὶ ἀποκενώσει σε, καὶ αὐτὸς οὐ πονέσει.
(ⲍ̅)	(ⲍ︦) ⲉϥⲁϩⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲉⲓⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲣⲉⲕⲕⲱⲧⲉ: ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲕ ⲛϥ̅ϯ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ. ....ⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩ ⲛϥ̅[ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲁϩⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩ;	(6) If he have need of thee, he will deceive thee, and smile upon thee, and put thee in hope; he will speak thee fair, and say, What wantest thou?	(6) χρείαν ἔσχηκέν σου, καὶ ἀποπλανήσει σε καὶ προσγελάσεταί σοι καὶ δώσει σοι ἐλπίδα· λαλήσει σοι καλὰ καὶ ἐρεῖ Τίς ἡ χρεία σου;
(ⲏ̅)	(ⲏ︦) ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲛⲁϯϣⲓⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲕ ϩⲛ̅ ⲛⲉϥϫⲓⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ. ϣⲁⲛ̅ⲧϥ̅ⲡⲁϩⲧⲕ̅ ⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲡ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲓⲉ ϣⲟⲙⲛ̅ⲧ	(7) And he will shame thee by his meats, until he have drawn thee dry twice or thrice,	(7) καὶ αἰσχυνεῖ σε ἐν τοῖς βρώµασιν αὐτοῦ, ἕως οὗ ἀποκενώσῃ σε δὶς ἢ τρίς,
(ⲑ̅)	(ⲑ︦) ⲁⲩⲱ ⲑⲁⲏ ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲕ: ..... ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛϥ̅ⲟⲃϣϥ̅ ⲛϥ̅ⲕⲓⲙ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ⲉϫⲱⲕ.	and at the last he will laugh thee to scorn afterward, when he seeth thee, he will forsake thee, and shake his head at thee.	καὶ ἐπ’ ἐσχάτων καταµωκήσεταί σου· µετὰ ταῦτα ὄψεταί σε καὶ καταλείψει σε καὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ κινήσει ἐπὶ σοί.
(ⲓ̅)	(ⲓ︦) ϯϩⲧⲏⲕ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ⲛⲅ̅ⲑⲃ̅ⲃⲓⲟ ϩⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲧⲑⲏⲧ.	(8) Beware that thou be not deceived and brought down in thy jollity.	(8) πρόσεχε µὴ ἀποπλανηθῇς καὶ µὴ ταπεινωθῇς ἐν ἀφροσύνῃ σου.
(ⲓ̅ⲁ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲁ︦) ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩϫⲱⲱⲣⲉ ⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲕ ⲥⲁϩⲧⲕ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ.	(9) If thou be invited of a mighty man, withdraw thyself, and so much the more will he invite thee.	(9) Προσκαλεσαµένου σε δυνάστου ὑποχωρῶν γίνου, καὶ τόσῳ µᾶλλόν σε προσκαλέσεται·
(ⲓ̅ⲃ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲃ︦) ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲉⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ̅ ⲙⲏⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⲛϥ̅ⲙⲉⲥⲧⲱⲕ.	(10) Press thou not upon him, lest thou be put back; stand not far off, lest thou be forgotten.	(10) µὴ ἔµπιπτε, µὴ ἀπωσθῇς, καὶ µὴ µακρὰν ἀφίστω, ἵνα µὴ ἐπιλησθῇς.
(ⲓ̅ⲅ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲅ︦) ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲏⲧⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ: ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲧⲁⲛϩⲉⲧ ⲡⲉϥⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛ̅ϣⲁϫⲉ.	(11) Affect not to be made equal unto him in talk, and believe not his many words:	(11) µὴ ἔπεχε ἰσηγορεῖσθαι µετ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ µὴ πίστευε τοῖς πλείοσιν λόγοις αὐτοῦ·
(ⲓ̅ⲇ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲇ︦) ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲛ̅ ϩⲁϩ ⲛ̅ϣⲁϫⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲡⲉⲓⲣⲁⲍⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲛⲁⲣ̅ⲑⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲛϥ̅ϫⲛⲟⲩⲕ.	for with much communication will he tempt thee, and smiling upon thee will get out thy secrets:	ἐκ πολλῆς γὰρ λαλιᾶς πειράσει σε καὶ ὡς προσγελῶν ἐξετάσει σε.
(ⲓ̅ⲉ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲉ︦) ⲟⲩⲁⲧⲛⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲛϥ̅ϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϯⲥⲟ ϩⲛ̅ ϩⲉⲛⲙ̅ⲕⲁϩ ⲙⲛ̅ ϩⲉⲛⲙⲣ̅ⲣⲉ.	(12) But cruelly he will lay up thy words, and will not spare to do thee hurt, and to put thee in prison.	(12) ἀνελεήµων ὁ µὴ συντηρῶν λόγους καὶ οὐ µὴ φείσηται περὶ κακώσεως καὶ δεσµῶν.
(ⲓ̅ⲋ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲋ︦) ϯϩⲧⲏⲕ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲕⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲉ.	(13) Observe, and take good heed, for thou walkest in peril of thy overthrowing: when thou hearest these things, awake in thy sleep. (14) Love the Lord all thy life, and call upon him for thy salvation.	(13) συντήρησον καὶ πρόσεχε σφοδρῶς, ὅτι µετὰ τῆς πτώσεώς σου περιπατεῖς. (14)
(ⲓ̅ⲍ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲍ︦) ⲉⲣⲉ ⲍⲱⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧϩⲓⲧⲟⲩⲱϥ.	(15) Every beast loveth his like, and every man loveth his neighbour.	(15) Πᾶν ζῷον ἀγαπᾷ τὸ ὅµοιον αὐτῷ καὶ πᾶς ἄνθρωπος τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ·
(ⲓ̅ⲏ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲏ︦) ⲉϣⲁⲣⲉ ...ⲧ... ⲁⲩⲱ .....ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲧⲟϭ ....	(16) All flesh consorteth according to kind, and a man will cleave to his like.	(16) πᾶσα σὰρξ κατὰ γένος συνάγεται, καὶ τῷ ὁµοίῳ αὐτοῦ προσκολληθήσεται ἀνήρ.
(ⲓ̅ⲑ̅)	(ⲓ︦ⲑ︦) ⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲛϣ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϩⲓⲉⲓⲃ; ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲣⲉϥϣⲙ̅ϣⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ.	(17) What fellowship hath the wolf with the lamb? so the sinner with the godly.	(17) τί κοινωνήσει λύκος ἀµνῷ; οὕτως ἁµαρτωλὸς πρὸς εὐσεβῆ.
(ⲕ̅)	(ⲕ︦) ⲁϣ ⲧⲉ ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲟⲉⲓⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲟⲩϩⲟⲣ; ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϣ ⲧⲉ ϯⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲫⲏⲕⲉ;	(18) What agreement is there between the hyena and a dog? and what peace between the rich and the poor?	(18) τίς εἰρήνη ὑαίνῃ πρὸς κύνα; καὶ τίς εἰρήνη πλουσίῳ πρὸς πένητα;
(ⲕ̅ⲁ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲁ︦) ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲣϭⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲩⲓ̈ ⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲉⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲁⲉⲓⲉ: ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲕⲉ.	(19) As the wild ass is the lion’s prey in the wilderness: so the rich eat up the poor.	(19) κυνήγια λεόντων ὄναγροι ἐν ἐρήµῳ· οὕτως νοµαὶ πλουσίων πτωχοί.
(ⲕ̅ⲃ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲃ︦) ⲧⲃⲟⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϫⲁⲥⲓ ϩⲏⲧ ⲡⲉⲑⲃ̅ⲃⲓⲟ.	(20) As the proud hate humility: so doth the rich abhor the poor.	(20) βδέλυγµα ὑπερηφάνῳ ταπεινότης· οὕτως βδέλυγµα πλουσίῳ πτωχός.
(ⲕ̅ⲅ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲅ︦) ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲕⲓⲙ ϣⲁⲩⲧⲁϫⲣⲟϥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲉϥϣⲃⲉⲉⲣ: ⲫⲏⲕⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛϩⲉ ϣⲁⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲉϥϣⲃⲉⲉⲣ.	(21) A rich man beginning to fall is held up of his friends: but a poor man being down is thrust away by his friends.	(21) πλούσιος σαλευόµενος στηρίζεται ὑπὸ φίλων, ταπεινὸς δὲ πεσὼν προσαπωθεῖται ὑπὸ φίλων.
(ⲕ̅ⲇ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲇ︦) ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲕⲓⲙ ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ϣⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ: ϣⲁϥϫⲱ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲙⲉϣϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϣⲁⲩⲧⲙⲁⲓ̈ⲟϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.	(22) When a rich man is fallen, he hath many helpers: he speaketh things not to be spoken, and yet men justify him:	(22) πλουσίου σφαλέντος πολλοὶ ἀντιλήµπτορες· ἐλάλησεν ἀπόρρητα, καὶ ἐδικαίωσαν αὐτόν.
(ⲕ̅ⲉ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲉ︦) ⲫⲏⲕⲉ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛ ⲕⲓⲙ ϣⲁⲩⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲁϥ: ϣⲁϥϫⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲁϥ ⲙⲁ.	the poor man slipped, and yet they rebuked him too; he spake wisely, and could have no place.	ταπεινὸς ἔσφαλεν, καὶ προσεπετίµησαν αὐτῷ· ἐφθέγξατο σύνεσιν, καὶ οὐκ ἐδόθη αὐτῷ τόπος.
(ⲕ̅ⲋ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲋ︦) ⲡⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ⲁϥϣⲁϫⲉ; ⲁⲩⲕⲁ ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ......................	(23) When a rich man speaketh, every man holdeth his tongue, and, look, what he saith, they extol it to the clouds:	(23) πλούσιος ἐλάλησεν, καὶ πάντες ἐσίγησαν καὶ τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ ἀνύψωσαν ἕως τῶν νεφελῶν.
(ⲕ̅ⲍ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲍ︦) ...................... ...ⲉϥϣⲁⲛϫⲓ ϫⲣⲟⲡ ....	but if the poor man speak, they say, What fellow is this? and if he stumble, they will help to overthrow him.	πτωχὸς ἐλάλησεν καὶ εἶπαν Τίς οὗτος; κἂν προσκόψῃ, προσανατρέψουσιν αὐτόν.
(ⲕ̅ⲏ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲏ︦) ⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲟ ...ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧϩⲏⲕⲉ ϩⲟⲟⲩ ..... ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ.	(24) Riches are good unto him that hath no sin, and poverty is evil in the mouth of the ungodly.	(24) ἀγαθὸς ὁ πλοῦτος, ᾧ µή ἐστιν ἁµαρτία, καὶ πονηρὰ ἡ πτωχεία ἐν στόµατι ἀσεβοῦς.
(ⲕ̅ⲑ̅)	(ⲕ︦ⲑ︦) ϣⲁⲣⲉ ⲫⲏⲧ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϣⲓⲃⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥϩⲟ ⲏ ⲉϩⲛ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ⲏ ϩⲛ̅ⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ.	(25) The heart of a man changeth his countenance, whether it be for good or evil: and a merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.	(25) Καρδία ἀνθρώπου ἀλλοιοῖ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ, ἐάν τε εἰς ἀγαθὰ ἐάν τε εἰς κακά.
(ⲗ̅)	(ⲗ︦) ⲡⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲫⲏⲧ ⲉϥϩⲛ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲟ ⲉⲧⲣⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡϭⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲓⲥⲉ.	(26) A cheerful countenance is a token of a heart that is in prosperity; and the finding out of parables is a wearisome labour of the mind.	(26) ἴχνος καρδίας ἐν ἀγαθοῖς πρόσωπον ἱλαρόν, καὶ εὕρεσις παραβολῶν διαλογισµοὶ µετὰ κόπων.
