(ⲁ︦) ⲛⲉⲕⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲡⲉ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲩ: ⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲏ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲏ ⲉⲛⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁⲕⲁⲣⲓⲍⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲃⲱⲕ ϩⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲓ̈ϩⲓⲥⲉ	(1) Nevertheless thy saints had a very great light, whose voice they hearing, and not seeing their shape, because they also had not suffered the same things, they counted them happy.	(1) Τοῖς δὲ ὁσίοις σου µέγιστον ἦν φῶς· ὧν φωνὴν µὲν ἀκούοντες µορφὴν δὲ οὐχ ὁρῶντες, ὅτι µὲν οὐ κἀκεῖνοι ἐπεπόνθεισαν, ἐµακάριζον,
(ⲃ︦) ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩϣⲡ̅ϩⲙⲟⲧ .... ⲧⲱⲱⲃⲉ ... ⲁⲩⲛⲁ... ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩ...ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩ....ⲩ ⲛ̅ϫⲁϫⲉ.	(2) But for that they did not hurt them now, of whom they had been wronged before, they thanked them, and besought them pardon for that they had been enemies.	(2) ὅτι δ’ οὐ βλάπτουσιν προηδικηµένοι, ηὐχαρίστουν καὶ τοῦ διενεχθῆναι χάριν ἐδέοντο.
(ⲅ︦) ⲉⲡⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲕⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲥⲧⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲕⲱϩⲧ̅ ⲉⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲣⲏ ⲉⲙⲉϥⲣⲱⲕϩ̅ ⲁⲛ ⲉϥϫⲓ ⲙⲟⲉⲓⲧ ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ.	(3) Instead whereof thou gavest them a burning pillar of fire, both to be a guide of the unknown journey, and an harmless sun to entertain them honourably.	(3) ἀνθ’ ὧν πυριφλεγῆ στῦλον ὁδηγὸν µὲν ἀγνώστου ὁδοιπορίας, ἥλιον δὲ ἀβλαβῆ φιλοτίµου ξενιτείας παρέσχες.
(ⲇ︦) ⲛⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙ̅ⲡϣⲁ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩϥⲓ ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲟⲧⲡⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲕⲁⲕⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲛⲉⲕϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲩⲟⲧⲡ̅ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲩⲛⲁ....... ⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲛ̅ⲁⲧⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ.	(4) For they were worthy to be deprived of light and imprisoned in darkness, who had kept thy sons shut up, by whom the uncorrupt light of the law was to be given unto the world.	(4) ἄξιοι µὲν γὰρ ἐκεῖνοι στερηθῆναι φωτὸς καὶ φυλακισθῆναι σκότει οἱ κατακλείστους φυλάξαντες τοὺς υἱούς σου, δι’ ὧν ἤµελλεν τὸ ἄφθαρτον νόµου φῶς τῷ αἰῶνι δίδοσθαι.
(ⲉ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϫⲓ ϣⲟϫⲛⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲕⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲉⲁⲩⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲡⲉⲩϫⲡⲓⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲕϥⲓ ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲕϥⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ϩⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϥ.	(5) And when they had determined to slay the babes of the saints, one child being cast forth, and saved, to reprove them, thou tookest away the multitude of their children, and destroyedst them altogether in a mighty water.	(5) Βουλευσαµένους δ’ αὐτοὺς τὰ τῶν ὁσίων ἀποκτεῖναι νήπια καὶ ἑνὸς ἐκτεθέντος τέκνου καὶ σωθέντος εἰς ἔλεγχον τὸ αὐτῶν ἀφείλω πλῆθος τέκνων καὶ ὁµοθυµαδὸν ἀπώλεσας ἐν ὕδατι σφοδρῷ.
(ⲋ︦) ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲕⲧⲁⲙⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩϣ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉⲧⲱⲕ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧ	(6) Of that night were our fathers certified afore, that assuredly knowing unto what oaths they had given credence, they might afterwards be of good cheer.	(6) ἐκείνη ἡ νὺξ προεγνώσθη πατράσιν ἡµῶν, ἵνα ἀσφαλῶς εἰδότες οἷς ἐπίστευσαν ὅρκοις ἐπευθυµήσωσιν.
(ⲍ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ⲙⲉⲛ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲕⲗⲁⲟⲥ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ..............	(7) So of thy people was accepted both the salvation of the righteous, and destruction of the enemies.	(7) προσεδέχθη ὑπὸ λαοῦ σου σωτηρία µὲν δικαίων, ἐχθρῶν δὲ ἀπώλεια·
(ⲏ︦) ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁ ..... ⲛⲓϫⲁϫⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲕϯⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲛ.	(8) For wherewith thou didst punish our adversaries, by the same thou didst glorify us, whom thou hadst called.	(8) ᾧ γὰρ ἐτιµωρήσω τοὺς ὑπεναντίους, τούτῳ ἡµᾶς προσκαλεσάµενος ἐδόξασας.
(ⲑ︦) ⲛ̅ϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲛ̅ⲣ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲙ̅ ⲫⲱⲡ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲓⲛⲉ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲧⲃ̅ⲃⲟ ⲉⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲙ.... ⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲉⲛⲓⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲛⲓ.... ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲛ̅ⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲱⲧ.	(9) For the righteous children of good men did sacrifice secretly, and with one consent made a holy law, that the saints should be like partakers of the same good and evil, the fathers now singing out the songs of praise.	(9) κρυφῇ γὰρ ἐθυσίαζον ὅσιοι παῖδες ἀγαθῶν καὶ τὸν τῆς θειότητος νόµον ἐν ὁµονοίᾳ διέθεντο τῶν αὐτῶν ὁµοίως καὶ ἀγαθῶν καὶ κινδύνων µεταλήµψεσθαι τοὺς ἁγίους πατέρων ἤδη προαναµέλποντες αἴνους.
(ⲓ︦) ⲡⲉϩⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϫⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥϣⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲥⲙⲏ ⲛ̅ⲣⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲉⲛⲉⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ.	(10) But on the other side there sounded an ill according cry of the enemies, and a lamentable noise was carried abroad for children that were bewailed.	(10) ἀντήχει δ’ ἀσύµφωνος ἐχθρῶν ἡ βοή, καὶ οἰκτρὰ διεφέρετο φωνὴ θρηνουµένων παίδων·
(ⲓ︦ⲁ︦) ⲟⲩϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲡⲉϥϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲩⲕⲟⲗⲁⲍⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲓϩⲁⲡ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ: ⲟⲩϩⲏⲕⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲣ̅ⲣⲟ ⲉⲩϣⲱⲡ ⲛ̅ⲛⲓϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲟⲩⲱⲧ.	(11) The master and the servant were punished after one manner; and like as the king, so suffered the common person.	(11) ὁµοίᾳ δὲ δίκῃ δοῦλος ἅµα δεσπότῃ κολασθεὶς καὶ δηµότης βασιλεῖ τὰ αὐτὰ πάσχων,
(ⲓ︦ⲃ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ ⲉⲩϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲓⲙⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲛⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲏⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲣⲉϥⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ: ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ̅ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲉⲩⲣⲱϣⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲱⲙⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲩϫⲡⲟ ⲉⲧⲧⲁⲉⲓⲏⲩ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϩⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϣⲡ̅ ⲛ̅ϣⲱⲡ.	(12) So they all together had innumerable dead with one kind of death; neither were the living sufficient to bury them: for in one moment the noblest offspring of them was destroyed.	(12) ὁµοθυµαδὸν δὲ πάντες ἐν ἑνὶ ὀνόµατι θανάτου νεκροὺς εἶχον ἀναριθµήτους· οὐδὲ γὰρ πρὸς τὸ θάψαι οἱ ζῶντες ἦσαν ἱκανοί, ἐπεὶ πρὸς µίαν ῥοπὴν ἡ ἐντιµοτέρα γένεσις αὐτῶν διέφθαρτο.
(ⲓ︦ⲅ︦) ⲉⲩⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲁⲧⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲉϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲣⲡ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲓⲥⲉ ⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲁⲩϩⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲉⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲗⲁⲟⲥ.	(13) For whereas they would not believe any thing by reason of the enchantments; upon the destruction of the firstborn, they acknowledged this people to be the sons of God.	(13) πάντα γὰρ ἀπιστοῦντες διὰ τὰς φαρµακείας ἐπὶ τῷ τῶν πρωτοτόκων ὀλέθρῳ ὡµολόγησαν θεοῦ υἱὸν λαὸν εἶναι.
(ⲓ︦ⲇ︦) ⲛⲉⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ .... ⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉ...	(14) For while all things were in quiet silence, and that night was in the midst of her swift course,	(14) ἡσύχου γὰρ σιγῆς περιεχούσης τὰ πάντα καὶ νυκτὸς ἐν ἰδίῳ τάχει µεσαζούσης
(ⲓ︦ⲉ︦) ⲡⲉⲕϣⲁϫⲉ .... ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲏⲩⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲑⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲉ[ϥⲙⲓϣ]ⲉ ⲉϥϣⲱⲱⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϥⲱ[ϭⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉ]ⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϫⲁϫⲉ.	(15) Thine Almighty word leaped down from heaven out of thy royal throne, as a fierce man of war into the midst of a land of destruction,	(15) ὁ παντοδύναµός σου λόγος ἀπ’ οὐρανῶν ἐκ θρόνων βασιλείων ἀπότοµος πολεµιστὴς εἰς µέσον τῆς ὀλεθρίας ἥλατο γῆς ξίφος ὀξὺ τὴν ἀνυπόκριτον ἐπιταγήν σου φέρων
(ⲓ︦ⲋ︦) ⲉⲩⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲥⲏϥⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ̅ ⲉⲥⲧⲏⲙ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲉⲕⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲁϫⲛ̅ ϩⲩⲡⲟⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉ ⲣⲁⲧϥ̅ ⲁϥⲙⲉϩ ⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱϩ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲣⲁⲧϥ̅ ϩⲓϫⲙ̅ ⲡⲕⲁϩ.	(16) And brought thine unfeigned commandment as a sharp sword, and standing up filled all things with death; and it touched the heaven, but it stood upon the earth.	(16) καὶ στὰς ἐπλήρωσεν τὰ πάντα θανάτου καὶ οὐρανοῦ µὲν ἥπτετο, βεβήκει δ’ ἐπὶ γῆς.
(ⲓ︦ⲍ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϣⲧⲣ̅ⲧⲱⲣⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ϭⲓ ϩⲛ̅ⲫⲁⲛⲧⲁⲥⲓⲁ ⲛ̅ⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲛⲁϣⲧ̅ ⲙⲛ̅ ϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲉⲩⲛⲏⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲥⲉⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ.	(17) Then suddenly visions of horrible dreams troubled them sore, and terrors came upon them unlooked for.	(17) τότε παραχρῆµα φαντασίαι µὲν ὀνείρων δεινῶν ἐξετάραξαν αὐτούς, φόβοι δὲ ἐπέστησαν ἀδόκητοι,
(ⲓ︦ⲏ︦) ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲏϫ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁ ⲟⲩⲥⲁ ⲉϥⲟ ⲙ̅ⲡϣⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲗⲟⲉⲓϭⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲧⲥ̅.	(18) And one thrown here, and another there, half dead, shewed the cause of his death.	(18) καὶ ἄMος ἀλλαχῇ ῥιφεὶς ἡµίθνητος δι’ ἣν ἔθνῃσκον αἰτίαν ἐνεφάνιζεν·
(ⲓ︦ⲑ︦) ⲣ̅ⲣⲁⲥⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧϣⲧⲟⲣⲧⲣ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲣ̅ ⲁⲧⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲓ̈ⲡⲉⲑⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲧϥ̅ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉϥⲱⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.	(19) For the dreams that troubled them did foreshew this, lest they should perish, and not know why they were afflicted.	(19) οἱ γὰρ ὄνειροι θορυβήσαντες αὐτοὺς τοῦτο προεµήνυσαν, ἵνα µὴ ἀγνοοῦντες δι’ ὃ κακῶς πάσχουσιν ἀπόλωνται.
(ⲕ︦) ⲁⲩϫⲛ̅ⲧ ⲛ̅ⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ϩⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡϫⲁⲉⲓⲉ. .......	(20) Yea, the tasting of death touched the righteous also, and there was a destruction of the multitude in the wilderness: but the wrath endured not long.	(20) Ἥψατο δὲ καὶ δικαίων πεῖρα θανάτου, καὶ θραῦσις ἐν ἐρήµῳ ἐγένετο πλήθους. ἀλλ’ οὐκ ἐπὶ πολὺ ἔµεινεν ἡ ὀργή·
(ⲕ︦ⲁ︦) .... ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲡ̅ ⲁϥⲙⲓϣⲉ ..: ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡϩⲟⲡⲗⲟⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥϣⲙ̅ϣⲉ ⲉϥⲧⲱⲃϩ̅ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϣⲟⲩϩⲏⲛⲉ ⲉϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲡϭⲱⲛⲧ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗϭⲉ ⲧⲉ.... ⲉϥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲕϩⲙ̅ϩⲁⲗ ⲡⲉ	(21) For then the blameless man made haste, and stood forth to defend them; and bringing the shield of his proper ministry, even prayer, and the propitiation of incense, set himself against the wrath, and so brought the calamity to an end, declaring that he was thy servant.	(21) σπεύσας γὰρ ἀνὴρ ἄµεµπτος προεµάχησεν τὸ τῆς ἰδίας λειτουργίας ὅπλον προσευχὴν καὶ θυµιάµατος ἐξιλασµὸν κοµίσας· ἀντέστη τῷ θυµῷ καὶ πέρας ἐπέθηκε τῇ συµφορᾷ δεικνὺς ὅτι σός ἐστιν θεράπων·
(ⲕ︦ⲃ︦) ⲁϥϫⲣⲟ ⲉⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ϩⲛ̅ ⲟⲩϭⲟⲙ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ϩⲛ̅ ⲟⲩⲛⲁϣⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲡⲗⲟⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲙ̅ ⲡⲉϥϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁϥⲥⲉⲡⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲕⲟⲗⲁⲍⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲁϥⲧⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁⲛⲁⲩϣ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲧⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ	(22) So he overcame the destroyer, not with strength of body, nor force of arms, but with a word subdued him that punished, alleging the oaths and covenants made with the fathers.	(22) ἐνίκησεν δὲ τὸν χόλον οὐκ ἰσχύι τοῦ σώµατος, οὐχ ὅπλων ἐνεργείᾳ, ἀλλὰ λόγῳ τὸν κολάζοντα ὑπέταξεν ὅρκους πατέρων καὶ διαθήκας ὑποµνήσας.
(ⲕ︦ⲅ︦) ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ϭⲓ ⲛ̅ⲣⲉϥⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲉⲩϩⲏⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϫⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅ ϩⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲩⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗϭⲉ ⲧⲟⲣⲅⲏ ⲁϥⲡⲣ̅ϫ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲟⲩⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ̅ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ̅.	(23) For when the dead were now fallen down by heaps one upon another, standing between, he stayed the wrath, and parted the way to the living.	(23) σωρηδὸν γὰρ ἤδη πεπτωκότων ἐπ’ ἀλλήλων νεκρῶν µεταξὺ στὰς ἀνέκοψε τὴν ὀργὴν καὶ διέσχισεν τὴν πρὸς τοὺς ζῶντας ὁδόν.
(ⲕ︦ⲇ︦) ⲛⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ⲡⲟϩⲧ̅ ϩⲓ ⲧⲡⲟⲇⲏⲣⲏ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥϩⲃⲥⲱ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲉⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ϥⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ⲥⲧⲉⲓⲭⲟⲥ ⲉϥϣⲉⲧϣⲱⲧ ϩⲛ̅ ϩⲉⲛⲱⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲛⲟϭ ϩⲓϫⲛ̅ ⲧⲉϭⲣⲏⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ.	(24) For in the long garment was the whole world, and in the four rows of the stones was the glory of the fathers graven, and thy Majesty upon the diadem of his head.	(24) ἐπὶ γὰρ ποδήρους ἐνδύµατος ἦν ὅλος ὁ κόσµος, καὶ πατέρων δόξαι ἐπὶ τετραστίχου λίθων γλυφῆς, καὶ µεγαλωσύνη σου ἐπὶ διαδήµατος κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ.

(25) Unto these the destroyer gave place, and was afraid of them: for it was enough that they only tasted of the wrath.	(25) τούτοις εἶξεν ὁ ὀλεθρεύων, ταῦτα δὲ ἐφοβήθη· ἦν γὰρ µόνη ἡ πεῖρα τῆς ὀργῆς ἱκανή.
